Chongqing's China Three Gorges Museum is in full preparation for the opening ceremony, May 18.
Two workers are cleaning the 'Longtan River's Cliffside Carving,' the heaviest cultural relic of the museum.
It is composed of two integrally cut carving-making rocks and weighs over 30 tons.
When the Three Gorges' water level reaches 135 meters, 'Longtan River's Cliffside Carvings' would be drowned.
Theretofore local cultural relic departments spent nearly two months performing an integral cutting to the carving before moving it to the museum.
Construction of China Three Gorges Museum commenced on Oct.28th, 2002 and would open officially on June 18th this year.
The museum is expected to exhibit 8,000 to 10,000 cultural relics and store about 300,000 cultural relics, mainly those from Chongqing and Three Gorges regions.
